It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Helen Jean Brown, 91 of Grand View Manor, Berwick. She passed away peacefully on October 24, 2012 with her loving family by her side. Born in Berwick, she was the daughter of the late Shirley and Gertrude (Algee) Wood. She worked most of her working years at Mountain View Home and the former Palmeter’s Country Home. She enjoyed bingo and playing cards. She was predeceased by her husband, John Arthur Brown and an infant sister, Joyce. She is survived by daughters, Linda Fancey and Donna Lyons (Percy Grant), both of Cambridge; Alva (Terry) Keddy, New Ross; seven grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation was held from 7-9 p.m. Friday, October 26, 2012 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 27, 2012, Father Gerald Saulnier officiating. Burial took place in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Kentville. A reception followed in the reception room of the White family Funeral Home.
