Passed peacefully away after a short illness surrounded by her loving family at the Health Sciences Complex on October 27, 2012, Florence May Weir of Goulds, aged 80 years. Predeceased by her husband Gordon; son David; parents: Albert and Elizabeth Boyles; and parents-in-law: William and Gladys Weir. Leaving to mourn their sad loss are her daughters: Marilyn and Janice (Kevin Heffernan); and her son Albert (Karen); her beloved grandchildren: Lindsay Heffernan (Damien), Colin Heffernan, and Craig Weir; brother Arthur Boyles (Audrey); sisters-in-law: Dorothy (Wes) Williams, and Paula (Victor) Williams; brother-in-law Errol Weir (Janie); aunts: Florence Stanley, Ruby Howell, Ivy Rowe, and Kathleen Rowe; as well as a large circle of family and friends. The family would like to thank the staff and residents of 2E Escasoni Complex for the care and compassion shown to Florence during the past 1 1/2 years that she has resided there. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl, on Monday, October 29, from 2 - 9 p.m., and on Tuesday, October 30, from 2 - 9 p.m. Funeral service will take place at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Goulds, on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at 2:00 p.m., with interment to follow at Presentation Anglican Cemetery, Goulds.
