Lieu de décès : Lillooet, Colombie Britannique, Canada
Date de décès : 22 octobre 2012

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Fredrick Marvin Leach on Monday, October 22, 2012, with family by his side.  Fred is survived by his loving family; wife Wendy, daughter Jennifer (Geoffrey), son Brock, parents Earl and Marlene, sisters Myrna (Rod), Laura (Grant), Leanne, Susan (Doug) and large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces & nephews. His enthusiasm and patience for genealogy has left us with a wonderful record of our family tree which can be enjoyed and appreciated for generations to come.
Fred was born in Warroad, Minnesota (closest hospital to Sprague, Manitoba) and was the first child of Earl and Marlene (Olson) Leach.  He often talked about his childhood on the farm near Kelly Lake with Grandpa Olson before moving into Lillooet.
A second generation railroader, some of his most cherished memories where on the track. His love for BC Rail continued through his various positions with the company; from machine operator, patrolman, conductor and much more. The railroad traveled him all over the province but eventually he settled in Lillooet and married his wife Wendy on October 26, 1985. His daughter Jennifer graced his presence in the autumn of 1987 and son Brock soon followed in the spring 1990. He was a proud father with the patience of an angel.
Fred’s hobbies included: searching for lost gems in the Buy & Sell, watching his favorite hockey players skate down the ice, and driving his family crazy when he found a ‘new’ relative through his genealogy searches.
A celebration of his life was held on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at the Elks Hall, in Lillooet, BC.  In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate any photos or memories you would like to share. Fred received wonderful care over the years from the doctors and staff at the hospital and donation made to the Lillooet District Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
