Bud passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 28, 2012. He was predeceased by his wife Fern; parents Walter and Maria; brother Fred; sisters Florence and Vivian; and son-in-law Larry. Bud is survived by his daughter Terry Hornung; grandchildren Brad Hornung and Leanne (Randall) Wright; sisters Mina and Francis as well as several nieces and nephews. He joined the Navy when he was just seventeen years old. After the war, Bud worked for the Dept of Highways, then went to Mankota and worked for Paterson Elevator. They then moved to Oxbow and worked buying grain for the next two years. Mankota drew them back and they bought the Paris Hotel where Bud was very involved with the community, especially sports. After the hotel was sold, they lived in Swift Current, Balmoral, MB and Yellow Grass, finally retiring in Regina to be closer to family. Bud spent many hours at Wascana Rehabilitation Centre visiting his grandson Brad and made trips to the states to visit granddaughter Leanne. Memorial Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memoriam may be made to a charity of your choice.
