It is with great sadness that the family of the late Winston Chubbs announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital on Friday, November 2, 2012 at the age of 70. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are: his wife, Louise, one son, Fred (Agnes) in Corner Brook, five daughters: Jaunita Chubbs in Stephenville, Alfreda (Gord) Hickey in Kippens, Eileen (Mike) Bourgeois in Corner Brook, Blanche Chubbs in Stephenville, Diane (John) Hinks in Stephenville, 13 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and a large circle of brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his mother, father and brother Sterling. Funeral service will take place Monday, November 5th, 2012, 2:00 pm at St. Augustine’s Anglican Church on Hillview Ave., Stephenville, Rev. Canon Dawn Barrett officiating, with Interment to follow at the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery on the Hansen Highway. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
