Peacefully and surrounded by her family at Palliative Care Unit of Community Hospital, O’Leary, on Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, of Marie Jennie Phillips, of O’Leary, aged 80 years, wife of Osborne. Born in Dunblane on Jan. 2, 1932, she was the daughter of Ernest and Nellie (Boulter) MacPherson. Dear mother to John (Ruth), New Annan, and Donald (Irene), West Cape. Loving grandmother to Christopher, Kristen, Jeremy, Brian, Dylan, Mitchell, Angela, Cherrie, Mitchell P., Ashley, Marcus and great-grandchildren: Cieara, Madelyn, Ben, Keira, Hanna, Carson, Layla, Casey, Aiden, Cayden and Noah. Mare is also survived by sisters Florence (Leon) Hatchard, Moncton, N.B., and Grace Yeo, Lot 16. Brothers and sisters-in-law Florence (Verne) Collicutt, Springfield West; Lillian MacLean, Charlottetown; and Betty Phillips, West Cape. Predeceased by her parents (Nellie and Ernie MacPherson), mother and father-in-law (Earl and Mae Phillips), grandson, Jesse Harper; brothers-in-law, Wendell Yeo, Erwin Phillips, Hedley MacLean, Ernie (Erma) Wood and niece Sheila Phillips. Resting at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary, with visiting hours Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service on Thursday in the Chapel at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow in West Point Presbyterian Cemetery. In memory of Marie, memorials to West Point Presbyterian Cemetery, Palliative Care Unit of Community Hospital or Parkinsons Foundation would be appreciated.
