Geraldine "Jerry" Murray Babineau 82 years of Springhill, passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 in North Cumberland Memorial Hospital, Pugwash. Born in Springhill on February 25, 1930, she was a daughter of the Late Robert B. and Mayme (Gillis) Ward.
Jerry enjoyed playing bingo, reading, doing crafts, scratching tickets and writing poems. In earlier years she played darts, traveled and enjoyed going to the camp at Fountain Lake. Family was everything to Mom.
She is survived by her husband Herb Babineau; son, Royce (Jannis) Rushton, Springhill; daughters, Deborah (Darrell) Babineau and Barbara Babineau both of Springhill; grandchildren, Robin Babineau, Crystal (Vaughn) Ryan, Ashley Rushton, Christopher Rushton, Katelyn Rushton, Kevin Rushton and great grandchildren, Zachary Babineau, Shelby Ryan, Zoe Nyitrai-Hacz; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by brothers, Douglas Ward and Charles "Bud" Ward; sisters, Marilyn in infancy,Jessie Hopkins and Verda Tabor; great granddaughter, Amelia Marie Rose Fournier.
Arrangements under the direction of A. H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill (902 597 2361). A Gathering of Remembrance will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on Saturday, November 10, 2012 from the Funeral Home.
