MASAO "Jim" KISHIYAMA
May 5, 1930 - November 6, 2012
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Jim Kishiyama. Jim passed away peacefully at the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice in Kamloops after his illness with cancer.
Jim is survived by his wife of 60 years, Yoshie Kishiyama, his son Kenji (Anne), his two grandchildren Kiana and Akina, and his brother Shuji (Nobuye), and sister Haruko and his brother and sisters' families including nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was predeceased by his two children Naomi and Gary, by his sister Kimiye "Kaye", and by his brother-in-law Hiroji.
Jim lived in Lillooet for more than 50 years and worked at the Lillooet mill for 35 years. He is well remembered for his love of fishing and the outdoors. He spent many hours fishing at all the local lakes and rivers and also made trips to Vancouver Island for ocean fishing.
The family would like to acknowledge the Hospice and Royal Inland Hospital staff for their kind and compassionate care of Jim, during his last days.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jim's name to The Lillooet and District Hospital.
No service will be held at Jim's request.
