It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Robert John Woods at the age of 85 on November 15, 2012.

John is survived by his wife Laura Jean Woods; his children Jean Selk (Denis), Kathy Jansen (Ben), Bonnie Bauer (Bruce), and Rob Woods; his grandchildren Leah Selk, Sarah Selk, Nick Jansen, Mike Jansen, Robyn Bauer, Mark Bauer, and Jonathan Woods; as well as many siblings.

John was predeceased by two of his siblings, his mother Mary Elizabeth Lillian Woods (Snider) and his father Robert James Woods.

John was a locomotive engineer for CN Rail for over 32 years and was an avid fisherman, outdoorsman and a caring and loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He will be greatly missed by all his family.

We'd like to thank the staff of The Hamlets at Westsyde for their care and dedication over the past years.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Monday, November 19, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Kamloops Funeral Home Chapel.
