Margaret Amos
AMOS, MARGARET LOUISE - 1932 - 2012 - The death of Margaret Louise Amos, 80, of Little Shemogue, NB, occurred on Friday, November 16, 2012 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born in Port Elgin, Margaret was a daughter of the late William and Mabel (Pipes) Pauley. Margaret was an extremely loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Margie was an avid gardener and supplied the family and countless friends with her pickles, jams and jellies. She made many quilts that were lovingly presented to family and are on beds from British Columbia to England. Margaret will be sadly missed by three daughters, Eden Langille, Tatamagouche, NS, Roberta (Robert) Patriquin, Tatamagouche, and Judy (William) Pope, Pictou, NS; two sons, David (Cathy) Amos, Port Elgin and Jerry (Sherry) Amos, Little Shemogue; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; two sisters, Abby (Carmen) Taylor, Elva Taylor and three brothers, Eldon (Jean) Pauley, Rod Pauley, and Earl (Ann) Pauley; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Robert, in 1992; a son, Boyd in 1960, one sister, and four brothers.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Funeral Home. Visiting hours will be held from their Port Elgin location, 3 West Main Street, Port Elgin, (538-2241) on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm, followed by a funeral service at 2 pm on Wednesday, November 21. William Drysdale DLM officiating. Following the service, Margaret will be laid to rest with Robert at the Murray Corner Pioneer Cemetery.
