TOWNSEND, MERRON ADELE - Following a sudden and brief illness we announce the passing of Merron Adele Townsend on Monday, November 19, 2012, surrounded by family and special friends, at St. Michael’s hospital. Adele was born in Saint John, New Brunswick, the daughter of the late Donald and Ann (Hines) Townsend. Adele’s professional career included being founder and president of Employment Partnership (NB), and more recently worked with the offices of Donald J. Brown, QC in Toronto, ON. Adele loved the arts, and all creatures, particularly her dogs, the late Meako and her beloved Maggie. Adele will be missed by many friends and is survived by her sisters, Kimberly McCurdy (Ken) and Cindy (Danny) Townsend, her nieces, Kristin and Marasia, her nephew Kenny, and several extended family members.
A memorial service will be held at the Turner and Porter, Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor Street West, Toronto, at Windermere east of Jane subway on Saturday, November 24, 2012, at 11 a.m. with visiting an hour prior. Interment and a celebration of Adele’s life will be held in New Brunswick at a later date. If desired, donations can be made to the Salvation Army of Canada.
