The death of Dorothy Alma O'Brien, 81, of Joggins, occurred at her home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, November 23, 2012.
Born in Maccan, NS, Dorothy was a daughter of the late Frank and Annie (Hurley) Arseneau.
She was a member of the Joggins United Church. She loved playing Darts and Bingo.
She will be dearly missed by sons, Douglas (Connie), Boar's Back, NS, Danny, Marty and Jeff, all of Joggins, NS Mike (Dorothy), Sackville, NB; daughters, Anne (John) Reid, Joggins, NS, Wendy (Marven) Snowdon, Woodpoint, NB; 25 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; brothers Harry, Moncton and Danny, Amherst, NS; sisters Stella (Connie) Roberts, Joggins, and Jean (Albert) Stanley, Maccan.
She was predeceased by her husband Douglas; son Harry and an infant daughter Janet Patricia; 3 brothers, Gilbert, Aussie and John Arseneau; sister Emma Marks.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Furlong Jones Funeral Home, River Hebert, NS (902-251-2387) where visiting ours will take place on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral will be held from the Joggins United Church on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at 2 pm. Burial in the River Hebert Latta Cemetery, River Hebert.
