HUGHENA MACINTYRE
CARD OF THANKS
“Hughena (Whalen) MacIntyre”
Hughena would have been well pleased!! She loved having people around her and the outpouring of love and affection for her, both during her illness and our great loss, will live with us forever. Our sincere gratitude is extended to all who traveled to spend time with her during her illness and to those who, visited, called, wrote, sent flowers or made a special treat during her long battle. It was a real testament of love and friendship for her. She was so proud!! To siblings, Mary Lou, Neena, Lucy, Lou, Rannie, John and their families, our many nieces and nephews, for the care and compassion they showed her and us during this difficult time, we are forever grateful. To all those who sent flowers, brought food to our home, sent Mass cards, gave donations, phoned, sent e-mails/on-line condolences, sympathy cards, to those who traveled from afar, and those who gave us emotional support and love, we thank you for your kindness and generosity, it will never be forgotten. To Dr. Trevor Guy, who made her feel so special, the Palliative Care Team, and the V.O.N. who treated Hughena with great dignity and respect, thank you! To Father Norman MacPhee for making the Mass so special, the organist, altar servers and Holy Cross Ladies Auxiliary, our thanks! Thanks to our son Michael, Cora-Lee Murrin-Beauchamp and Anne Hennessy for the readings. To nephews, Todd Billard, Bobby Wadden, Andy Hynes, Mendel Fowler, Jim Whalen and Leon Whalen Jr. who acted as pallbearers, our sincere gratitude.
Even in our sadness, we feel great pride in the legacy left by someone so special.
