Suddenly at the Kings County Memorial Hospital, Montague on Monday, May 5, 2008, with his loving family at his side, of Mr. Douglas Davey of St. Teresa, age 56 years. Beloved husband of Brenda Davey (nee Monaghan); loving father of Shawn (Lisa MacIntyre), Kimberly (Darrell Affleck), and Stephanie; and loving Grampie “Bampy” of Madelyn and Randi. Dear son of Margeurite (nee Davey) and the late Kenneth Marshall. He will also be lovingly remembered by brothers, Raymond Marshall and Wayne (Susan) Marshall; sister, Karen (Jerry Adams) of Saint John, N.B.; stepsister, Marilyn (Barry) MacKenzie; stepbrothers, Allan (Arlene) Marshall and Leslie Marshall; brothers-in-law, Raymond (Alberta), Kenneth, Billy, Maurice (Nancy) Monaghan of South Melville; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by father and mother-in-law, Gerald and Doris Monaghan of South Melville; and brother-in-law, Louis Monaghan. Resting at the Charlottetown Funeral Home, 35 Longworth Avenue, until 1:15 Friday afternoon, then transferred to St. Cuthbert’s Church, St. Teresa, for funeral mass at 2 p.m. Interment to follow in the family plot in the parish cemetery. If so desired, memorial donations in Douglas’ memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of P.E.I. or St. Cuthbert’s Cemetery Fund.
