Passed peacefully away at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Care Centre in Harbour Breton on Thursday, December 6, 2012, Mrs. Gertrude Geraldine Bungay, age 89 years of Seal Cove, F. Bay. Leaving to mourn her loving family: sons, Melvin and wife, Phyllis, at Seal Cove, Major Hedley Bungay and wife, Katie, at St. John’s, and Glen and wife, Kay, at Fort McMurray, AB; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; plus a number of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by her husband, Thomas, on November 26, 2002 and other relatives.
Funeral service was held from the Salvation Army Citadel in Seal Cove on Sunday, December 9, 2012 at 1:00 pm with Majors Austin and Lillian Randell and her son, Major Hedley Bungay, officiating. Interment followed at the Salvation Army Cemetery at Seal Cove.
