Norman MacIntyre

Norman MacIntyre

Lieu de naissance : Sydney

Date de décès : 8 décembre 2012

We, the family of Norman Eugene MacIntyre, regret to announce his sudden passing on Dec. 8, 2012 in Brampton, Ont., as a result of heart complications.
Born in Sydney, Norman was the son of the late Joseph Alex and Katie Bell (Campbell) MacIntyre of Boisdale.
Besides his parents, Norman was predeceased by his brother, John Angus in 1971.
Norman is survived by his two daughters, Barbara Nicholson (Chris) of Howie Centre and Karen Cox (Jonathan) of Sydney Forks; his nephew, John MacIntyre of Halifax; his grandnephew, Nolan and grandniece, Megan and the mother of his two daughters, Delores (MacMullin) MacIntyre of Beaver Cove. Norman was also a loving “Papa” to his four grandchildren, Keigan, Marissa, Evan and Cowan.
Norm left Cape Breton in his youth, and called Toronto his home for more than two-thirds of his life. Many will remember him for his love of card playing, his sense of humour, as well as his generosity and willingness to help friends in need.
Cremation was under the direction of Ward Funeral Home in Brampton. A memorial service was held in Ontario prior to taking his remains home to Cape Breton. Visitation will be held Tuesday, Dec. 18 from 10-11 a.m. at St. Andrew's Church in Boisdale. Funeral mass will follow with Fr. Francis Cameron officiating. A private interment ceremony will immediately follow in the parish cemetery. All are invited to a reception at the Boisdale Fire Hall following the mass.
Memorial donations may be made in Norman's name to Christmas Daddies, the Canadian Diabetes Association, or a charity of your choice.
