Alexander 'Al' Hoban

Alexander William Hoban died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at his home.
Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late George Eli and Ann Elizabeth (Hollis) Hoban.
He served for 27 years with the Royal Canadian Air Force and 10 years with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 12.
He is survived by his wife, Betty (MacDonald) Hoban; former wife Phyllis (Fryer) Hoban; four daughters, Cathy (Eric) Mattson, Wendy (Rod) Hoban, Rosalee Hoban and Cheryl (Corey) Hoban; three sons, Randall (Barbara) Hoban, Steven (Cathy) Hoban and Anthony (Wendy) Hoban; sister, Diane (Allan) MacQuarrie; brother, George (Wanda) Hoban; grandchildren, Brandi, Alesha, Jonathan, Patrick, Fraser, Elliot, Olivia and Jesse (Julie) MacAulay and great-grandson, Noah MacAulay.
There will be no visitation. A family memorial service will be held at a later date.
