BAGNELL, ERIC LAWRENCE - It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eric Lawrence Bagnell of Fredericton, on December 22, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born in Saint John, he was the son of the late Eric Donald and Ruth Olive (Smith) Bagnell. Eric started his career as a photographer at Joe Stone Studio, and worked at the Department of Natural Resources for many years. He was a founding member of the NB Filmmakers Cooperative. Eric was a member of the old Kootz that met at the Lunar Rogue every Thursday afternoon, was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan and enjoyed woodworking. Eric is survived by his wife, Ellen (nee Peterson) Bagnell; children, Carrie (Jim) Horsburgh, Trina Bagnell Lacoste, Brian (Emma Saunders) and Heather Howe (Kyle); five grandchildren, Alicia and Kaitlynn Lacoste, Rylee, Raya and Ellen Howe; one brother, Francis “Butch” Bagnell; as well as by several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Donna Hazel Bagnell.
Visitation will be held at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road on Thursday, December 27, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A funeral service will be held at Bishop’s Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Interment to take place at a later date.
