PAUL WHITE

PAUL WHITE

Date de décès : 22 décembre 2012

Paul was born on January 22, 1955 in Moose Jaw, SK to Grace L. (Robinson) White and Clifford J. White. He was educated at William Grayson (elementary) and A.E. Peacock Technical High schools. Paul passed away on December 22, 2012. He was 57 years old at his passing and maintained that life certainly has its moments throughout. Paul leaves his wife of 21 years, Monica and their sons, Jonathan and Zachery. He also leaves children Abbey (Janice) and Bailey, Amy and Melikhi, Ashley (Judy) and Nathaniel, Tasha (Cory) and Shayden, siblings Darlinda (Bob), Barbara, Stacie (Darcy) and Vicki (Scott), Sheldon and Tom and the Spykerman Clan as well as many other relatives to celebrate his life and hopes that all who knew him will take 10 minutes from their busy lives and have a drink in memory of him to celebrate his time on earth and his passing. Paul worked for numerous employers until May of 1976. At that time he hired with Canadian Pacific Railway and seemingly had found his career. He worked for CPR for 30 plus years and was very active in his Union at work. Paul served in pretty well all union positions at the local level for a time, during his career, spanning from 1983 forward to his retirement in 2010. He served as Provincial Legislative Board Chairman for the union from 2001 to 2010. It was this position that gave him the most satisfaction of all the union positions he held. He would spend hours at this job, reading dry legislation and working with the other reps in Saskatchewan and throughout Canada to try and make the job better. For all who know Paul, you know he was passionate about his work with the union and truly believes that the power in a union comes from the members. His union activities were very important to him and he always did his best to represent all of his peers equally and to the best of his ability. Paul was a member of Moose Jaw ELKS Lodge #7 and served as Exalted Ruler of that entity for the years 1995 & 1996. His terms as Exalted Ruler were a great learning experience for him and quite possibly made him into the man that he was. He described them as the most tumultuous years of his life. He believed strongly in the activities that the Lodge took part in, both the fundraising and the offering of assistance wherever the assistance was needed. He also enjoyed tipping a drink or two at the club whenever occasion availed itself. In 2010 after he retired from the railroad, he studied to become a realtor and worked for Century 21 till his passing. He thoroughly enjoyed it and his family was very proud of him for embarking on his second career. Paul wishes to thank you all for the help and assistance throughout his life and to always remember that "Life is for the living.” The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 10:30AM from St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 1064 Third Ave. NW, Moose Jaw with Reverend Father Barry Anwender presiding. Memorialization will take place at a later date. Memorial donations directed to the Moose Jaw Health Foundation, 455 Fairford St. E. Moose Jaw, S6H 1H3. In living memory of Paul, a memorial planting will be made by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home. Please sign the memorial register book at website: www.wjjonesandson.com (Obituaries).
