Audrey Rosalie Snow

Audrey Rosalie Snow

Date de décès : 22 décembre 2012

1956 - 2012
Audrey Rosalie Snow of Clarke’s Beach, aged 56 years, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, December 22nd, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer. Clarke’s Beach, the ocean and its beauty were near and dear to Rosalie’s heart. She enjoyed her home, having her relatives and friends close by, community and church activities and all aspects of living her life in the town in which she was born. She loved to travel with her family and friends and enjoyed life to the fullest. She was content at home and abroad. She wore out many pairs of shoes walking with Graham along the waterfront and could sit for hours in front of a good campfire or by the ocean watching a lovely sunset. Professionally, Rosalie graduated as a Pharmacist and worked first at Lawton’s Pharmacy, then at South Side Pharmacy and for the remainder of her career at Carbonear General Hospital, from where she recently retired from the position of Director of Pharmacy. As a measure of respect, her co-workers and professional associates formed an Honor Guard during her funeral service recessional as a tape recording of Rosalie singing “Whisper Jesus” was played. Rosalie will be remembered with fondness by her numerous family members, friends and colleagues, who will mourn the loss of a beautiful, happy spirit taken too soon. Rosalie leaves with broken hearts her parents, Aubrey and Laura; sister Valorie (Randy) Lynch who cared for Rosalie during her illness and treatments; her brother Aubrey (Karen); niece Randye Lynch; nephew William Snow and special friend Graham Mugford, all of whom love her dearly and will be lost without her. Rosalie was a member of the Snow and Dawe families of Clarke’s Beach, who will remember her contagious laughter, her brave spirit in illness, but especially the bright, happy person who was such an active, energetic part of their lives. Both in girlhood and maturity, Rosalie was a devoted member of the Church and taught Sunday school and Crusaders for many years at the Pentecostal Tabernacle of Clarke’s Beach. Rosalie was a born leader and whatever she did, she made sure it was done well, leaving no stone unturned. She was a kind-hearted woman, who never complained and always had a good word for everyone. She will be missed dearly. Rosalie’s life was celebrated during the Christmas Season at the Pentecostal Church, Clarke’s Beach during her repose and funeral service, following which Rosalie was laid to rest on Boxing Day at the Clarke’s Beach United Church Cemetery, where she waits to be rejoined in heaven with her family members who have gone before and those who today mourn her passing.
May she Rest in Peace
