HOWARD, DONALD G. - Donald Gregory Howard, formerly of Saint John and St. Martins, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 02, 2013 at the Campobello Lodge. Born in Saint John, he was a son of the late William Thomas and Hilda M. (Walton) Howard. Don was a Veteran of World War II, serving with the Navy. Don is survived by a daughter, Cathy Howard of Norton; grandchildren Corey Lynch of Alberta, Shawne Lynch, Robin Brown, both of Saint John, and Jonathan Brown of Moncton; two great grandchildren, Masion and Aidan both in Alberta; and one nephew. Don was predeceased by a daughter, Cindy Lynch, and brother, Douglas Howard.
Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Friday, January 4, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 2:00 PM from Brenan's Chapel. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery Field of Honour at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances to any charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family. A Royal Canadian Legion Veteran's Tribute Service will be held on Friday at 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
