BOURGEOIS, RITA - 90 - wife of the late Pascal Bourgeois (2004), of Grande-Digue and residing at O’ Bon Soins Residence in Shediac, passed away on Friday, January 4, 2013 at the Dr. Geoges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre. Born on August 21, 1922 in Cocagne, she was the daughter of the late Ben and Marguerite (Goguen) Bourque.
She was a member of La Visitation parish and the Golden Age Club in Grande-Digue. She had a talent for painting. She is survived by four daughters: Marie (Alfred) Goguen of Shédiac, Marguerite (Léo-Paul) LeBlanc of Cocagne, Anna (Claude) LeBlanc of Moncton and Jeanne (John) Bourgeois of Lakeville; six sons: Paul (Roseline) of Dieppe, Bernard (Kathy) of Ottawa, ON, Arthur (Huberte) of Saint-André-LeBlanc, Antoine (Denise), Francois (Denise) and Robert (Lise), all of Grande-Digue; two sisters: Anna (late Hector) Léger of Grande-Digue and Ethel (late Léopold) LeBlanc of Moncton; one brother, Ola (Phyllis) Bourque of Cocagne. She was grandmother to 18 and great-grandmother to 19.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Centre, 396 Main Street, Shédiac (532-3297) on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 9 a.m. until time of departure (10:30). The funeral mass will be celebrated at La Visitation R.C. Church in Grande-Digue on Monday January 7, 2013 at 11 a.m. Interment will be in parish cemetery.
