McLENAGHAN, BERNARD H. - 1923 - 2013 - Miramichi - Bernard (Burns) Herbert McLenaghan, husband of the late Joan McLenaghan, of Route 117, Miramichi Bay, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at the age of 89. Born in Auburnville, on August 25, 1923, he was the son of the late Joseph and Eliza (Williston) McLenaghan. He was a carpenter and a fisherman and attended St. Michaels By The Sea Roman Catholic Church, Miramichi Bay. He is survived by three sons, Joseph McLenaghan, of New Brunswick, Leo McLenaghan (Jackie), of Calgary, AB, Eric McLenaghan (Susan), of Miramichi; four grandchildren; one sister, Ellen Williston, of Miramichi; one brother, Phineas McLenaghan, of Riverview; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Joan MacDonald, in 1994; two sisters, Ada Williston and Mildred McGuire; five brothers, Burton, Freeman, William, Alvin, Reubin, Norman.
Visitation will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi, on Thursday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Michaels By The Sea Roman Catholic Church, on Friday, January11, 2013, at 11 am, conducted by Father John Keoughan, assisted by Father Dan Bastrache. Interment will be in the church cemetery, later in the spring. Please note, vigil prayers will be held at the funeral home on Thursday afternoon, at 1:45 pm.
