CUSHING, Michael Wade, 57 was born in Yarmouth on December 13, 1955. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Aceneath (Chetwynd), his three children, Angela (Kent) Greene, Trevor (Jill) Cushing, Krista (Robbie) LeBlanc, his three grandchildren, Madison, Lucas and Josie and two step-grandchildren Ally and Tyler. He was the son of the late Norman and Oretha (Olsen) Cushing. He was the youngest of 8 surviving siblings - Shirley, Betty, Wayne, Bob, Pat and Mac and predeceased by his brother Arnold and a stillborn sister. He lived in Pembroke most of his life and fished for a living. He loved playing and coaching hockey. When he came to know the Lord 8 years ago, Christ became the passion of his life. He loved the Lord with all of his heart, mind and soul, always studying and praying to walk ever closer to Him. He went to be with his Lord at home on January 10, 2013 surrounded by his family. Family-only visitation was held at Sweeny’s Funeral Home on Saturday at 2 p.m. His memorial service was held Sunday, January 13th at 2 p.m. from the Yarmouth Wesleyan Church, Rev. Craig Minard officiated. Interment followed at Pembroke Cemetery. Family flowers only please. He is loved and sadly missed by his family and friends.
