The death occurred peacefully, at her home in MacEwen Mews Seniors Residence, Margate, on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, of Kathleen Chess, of Margate, aged 102 years. Born in Kent, England, she was the daughter of the late Amos and Ellen (Browne) Chesmer. Survived by her daughter June Black, Nepean, Ont.; granddaughter Bronwen Black, Nepean, Ont.; grandson David (Carolyn) Black, Summerside; and great-grandchildren Jordan and Amaya Black. Predeceased by her husband Frederick Chess and son-in-law Gordon Black. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside. No visiting hours or funeral service by personal request. Memorial donations to the IWK Children's Hospital Child Life Team, Multiple Sclerosis Society or Trinity United Church, Summerside, would be appreciated.
