At the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax, on Saturday, January 12, 2013, of Gerald S. Millar of Kelvin Grove, aged 78 years.
Born in Bideford on June 28, 1934, son of the late Sterling S. and Etta May (Ramsay) Millar. Husband of Marion (MacArthur) Millar. Father of Donna (Martin) Winters, Weaver, Alabama. Grandfather of Sarah Barowka, Matthew, Katelyn and Drake Ledet. Brother of Erving Millar, Summerside; Vernon (Helen) Millar, Kelvin Grove; Marion Profitt, Summerside; and Astrid Johnson, Kensington. Brother-in-law of Betty Millar, Kensington; Eleanor (Alvin) MacNeill, Cavendish; Marjorie (Sam) MacKay, Halifax; and Bradford (Dianne) MacArthur, Margate. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his brother, Edgar; sister-in-law, June Millar; and brothers-in-law, Bruce Profitt and Edwin Johnston.
Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, for visitation on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Wednesday in the Kensington United Church at 11 a.m. Interment in the Bideford United Church Cemetery.
