Passed peacefully away at The Palliative Care Unit of The Dr. L.A. Miller Centre on Monday, January 14, 2013, Jack Lanphear aged 76 years. Chief Petty Officer, U.S. Navy and Vietnam War Veteran. Predeceased by his wife Roslyn, 2003. Leaving to mourn his children: Dawn (Gerald Ballett), Lori, Jackie (Dennis Traverse), Jack (Anne Madden) and Scott (Paula); grandchildren: Lee and Aryn Ballett, Melissa Casey (Jon), Brittany and D.J. Traverse, Juliet Lanphear, Noah, Olivia and Joshua Lanphear; great-grandchild Charlee Casey; special friend Pat Noseworthy; also many other friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and then on Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to be held from Barrett’s Chapel on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at The Salvation Army Cemetery, Blackmarsh Road.
