Aleatha Thelma Rushton
Rushton: Aleatha Thelma, 91, of Westchester Station and formerly of Londonderry, passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter Linda Webb, Westchester Station on Monday, January 14, 2013. Born in Harry’s Harbour, NFLD, she was a daughter of the late William and Pearl (King) Pynn. She attended the Faith Baptist Church in Great Village. Aleatha was always there for her family and friends to give a helping hand or advice whenever needed. She is survived by daughters, Joan (Ben) Hendrix, South Carolina; Linda Webb, Westchester Station; Sherry (Gary) Lindsay, Belmont; brothers, Ross (Marie), Belmont; Layton (Joan) Porter, Nappan; sister, Henrietta Morrisey, New Glasgow; 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Watson; daughter Diane in infancy and daughter Trudy; sons, Keith, Dale and Richard; grandson, Jody Rushton; brother Murray Pynn; sister, Erma Morrisey. Visitation will be held 7-9pm on Wednesday, January 16 and funeral service 2pm Thursday, January 17, all in the Faith Baptist Church in Great Village, Pastor Steve Adams officiating. Reception to follow in the church hall. Interment to be held at a later date in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Londonderry. In lieu of flowers donations in Aleatha’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Aleatha’s family would like to express special thanks to Dr.’s Roya and Michael Murray and also the Colchester and Cumberland Counties Victorian Order of Nurses for their special care and compassion given to Aleatha.
