Passed suddenly away at his residence on Friday, January 11, 2013, Wayne Anthony 'Tony' Snelgrove of Lower Island Cove, age 48 years. Predeceased by grandparents: Fred and Suzanna Snelgrove; William and Martha Park. Left to mourn, wife: Tina; three sons: Tyler and Ryan, Lower Island Cove and Sebastian Leonard, St. John’s; parents: Russell and Ethel, Lower Island Cove; two brothers: Russell (Mary), St. John’s and Allan (Wendy), Nova Scotia; sister: Suzanne (Sam) Whittaker, Mississippi, USA; parents-in-law: Stephen and Joyce Bursey, Lower Island Cove; brother-in-law: Scott (Tammy) Bursey, Lower Island Cove; nephews: Kyle and Mitchell Bursey, Joshua, Jeremy and Jeffery Snelgrove; nieces: Samantha, Rebecca, Brittany and Lily Snelgrove; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Rested at the Salvation Army Citadel, Lower Island Cove. Major Donna Hayward conducted the funeral service on Tuesday, January 15 at the Salvation Army Citadel, Lower Island Cove. Interment took place in the Salvation Army Cemetery, Lower Island Cove. Donations in his memory may be made to the Tony Snelgrove Memorial Fund.
