Mabel (May) Montgomery of Kamloops, passed away on January 16, 2013 at 84 years.

She is survived by her loving Children, Gerald (Louise) Montgomery of Port Coquitlam, BC, Marnie (Vic) O'Brien of Victoria, BC, Cheryl (Hugh) Booth of Kamloops, BC, Evelyn (John) Danielson of Kamloops, BC, Cindy (Paul) Craycraft of West Palm Beach, Florida, Kelly (Rick) McEwen of Kamloops, BC, and Grandchildren, Larry, Aaron, Katherine, Shannon, Colleen, Rhonda, Ken, Tim, Christian and numerous Great Grandchildren.

May was predeceased by her Husband Gilbert, Parents Bertha and Albert, Son Bruce, Sister Muriel, Brothers Bert, Al and Clarence.

May was born February 16, 1928 in Jesmond, BC. She met her husband Gilbert in Clinton and they were together until Gilbert's passing in 1978. They lived in several small towns in BC working for the railroad and finally settled permanently in Kamloops in October 1961. May worked at the Credit Bureau until she retired.

For May her family was her life's work and her joy, she instilled in her children the importance and value of family. With all the medical and personal adversities that she endured for so many years, she was unwavering in her strength and coped with grace and dignity. May was so loved, respected and admired by her family, and they know that she is again at peace and dancing with Gilbert.

A Celebration of May's life will be held on Tuesday, January the 22nd at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Kamloops Funeral Home, 285 Fortune Drive.
