Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Friday, January 18th, 2013, aged 89 years. Formally of Bay Roberts, she was a resident at Callingwood Downs, Clarke's Beach. Predeceased by her husband: Rev’d C. Maxwell Andrews formerly of Port de Grave, NL. Her parents: Edwin and Agnes (Doody) Delo, brothers: Kingsley, Stewart, and Ross Delo; sisters: Joy Howarth, June (Gibby) Gibson, Lois (Sandy) Barclay; Brothers-in-law; Michael Howath, William E. Boone, and Frank V. Andrews; sisters-in-law: Coroline Delo and Rachel O. Boone. She leaves to mourn with fond memories her loving daughter: Cynthia (Edward) Traverse and treasured grandson Peter Traverse. Brother: Bob (Carol) Delo; sisters-in-law: Roberta Delo, Betty Delo, Barbara Delo, and Yvette Howarth; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. As per Mrs. Andrews request cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mrs. Shirley Andrews may be made to the Janeway Children’s Hospital Foundation, a charity very dear to her heart. Rev’d Paul Rideout, Rev’d Amanda Taylor and Assisting Deacon John Sparkes conducted the funeral service at St. Mark’s Anglican Church, Bareneed on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 inurnment to be held at a later date from Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Toronto, Ontario.
