LEGER, BARBARA - It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Barbara Leger, age 66, of Sackville at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Sunday, January 27, 2013. Born in Sackville, she was a daughter of Mary (Downing) Bateman and the Late John Bateman. She is sadly missed by her mother Mary of Port Elgin; children; Donna Lee Cochrane (Wayne), Moncton, Sherry Leger, Cap Pele, NB, Terry, Toronto, ON, and Jamie, Moncton; two grandchildren, Crystal and Jared; three great grandchildren, Shawn-Douglas, Danie, and Myriam; siblings, Janet Forsythe-LeBlanc (Roger), Baie Verte, Douglas, Port Elgin, Judy Bateman, Baie Verte, Sandra Lucci (Joseph), Baie Verte, Wayne, Sackville. She was predeceased by husband Dosithe "Ti-Boy" Leger.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Funeral Home. Visiting hours will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel, 3 West Main St, Port Elgin (538-2241) on Thursday from 7 to 9 pm.
