Valerie Burbine (nee Jewett), 53 years of age of River Hebert, passed away on Friday, February 1, 2013. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Hazen & Margaret (MacDonald) Jewett.
Valerie enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Valerie didn't pull punches, she was an out spoken woman who spoke her mind, and expected you to do the same. Valerie enjoyed music and never hesitated to play it loud! Valerie loved her three dogs, Cassie, Max, Kobi and enjoyed her Udderly Divine ice cream.
She will be sadly missed by her son Trevor Proctor (Melissa) of Amherst; daughters, Kristi Proctor(Justin Bristol) of Halifax, Melanie Robertson of Antigonish; brother, Merritt Jewett (Heather) of Tidnish; 2 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Furlong-Jones Funeral Home, River Hebert. The family will receive visitors at the Furlong-Jones Funeral Home, River Hebert on Monday, February 4, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Burial will take place in the River Hebert Cemetery at a later date.
