Arnold Cox, 88, of Amherst passed away on Monday, February 11, 2012 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre.
Born in Springhill, he was a son of the late Cecil S. and Myrtle Cox.
Arnold and his wife Margaret Mary (Burton) celebrated 70 years of marriage on December 3, 2012. He was employed at the River Hebert Co Op for 36 years where he was Manager for many years.
Besides his wife, the former Margaret Mary (Burton), Amherst, he is survived by son David (Wendy) Cox, Riverview, NB; granddaughter Sarah (Julian) Watson; great granddaughter Miranda Watson; and sister, Joyce McCallum, Springhill.
He was predeceased by a brother, Doug.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St, Amherst (902-667-8777) where visiting hours will take place on Friday from 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 11 am at Christ Church, Rev. Charlotte Ross officiating. Burial will take place in the Hillside Cemetery, Springhill in the spring.
