Brittie Beatrice Denney - 91, lived her life to the fullest until February 17, 2013. If you harboured winter in your heart she would banish it. She was the soft, warm welcome wind of early May. She was also the go-to gal you could always count on; the one who would remember to leave the porch light on for you; the friend you always missed the most; the elegant lady who made men look and women envious; the girlfriend who was always up for one more crazy “girlie do” with the girls. She was our lovely Lady of Sweetness and Joy. She was always ready to stand up to life and never flinch or complain. There was just too much to do - too many friends to make, too many adventures to have, too many children, grandchildren and great grandchildren to love, too much life to live - to bother with anything narrow or mean or hurtful. Not our Brittie. She was our Mom, our Grammie, our GG, our Brittie. Someone who will live forever in our hearts and in every kind thought, every warm hug and every Mona Lisa smile we might give or receive on this long strange trip we call life. Brittie lives on through her son Don (Flo), daughter Brenda (Skip), granddaughters Shawna, Elenna, Celine, Aprill, eight great grandchildren, sisters Kaye and Eleanor, nieces and nephews, and great friends. A celebration of Brittie's life was held at 2pm, Saturday, February 23rd at White Family Funeral Home in Kentville.
