Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John’s, NL, on Monday, February 18th, 2013 after a lengthy illness, with his family by his side. He is predeceased by his infant daughter Chelsea Hope and his father Jacob. He is survived by his loving wife Sandy (nee Kelly); his loving mother Nayda and brother Neil (Núria) and nephew Pau. Alan devoted his life to chemical engineering in the mining industry across Canada. His final position as Research Coordinator at St. John’s Memorial University gave him tremendous joy and fulfillment. He will also be remembered as a drummer who loved to sing and play guitar.
