PRICE, EDITH "EDIE" - Edith “Edie” Alfreda (Beek) Price passed away peacefully Monday, February 25, 2013 at Oromocto Public Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Doaktown, NB, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Grace (Price) Beek. She was a homemaker. Survived by her children, Sarah Taylor (Allister) of Lochaber, NS, Donna McFadden (Alan) of Rusagonis, NB, Marguerite “Marg” St Peter (John) of Prince George, BC, Garry Price (Dorcas) of Prince George, BC, Charles Price (Debbie) of Prince George, BC, Donnie Price of Saint John, NB; grandchildren Patricia Tooker (Tim), Robert Taylor (Cindy), Sandra St. Peter (Mike Walker), Jason St Peter, Nathan McFadden (Gabrielle), Misty Dawn DiLeta (Mike), Michael, Trevor and Jamie Price; great-grandchildren Emily, Kristina and Katelyn Landry, Erin, Allison and Emma Taylor, Sheena, Alyssa and Jordan St Peter, Bailey McFadden, Holli Venoit, Elias Mason, Keira, Ethan, Kaiden and Peighton Price; great-great grandchild Landon St Peter, a sister Dora Lyons of Boiestown, NB, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Lawrence R. Price, her parents Theodore and Grace (Price) Beek, grandson Kevin (Kim) St. Peter, great granddaughter Kylie Price, sister Elizabeth Long, brothers Sterling Price and Nelson Beek. Edie was a member of the Pentecostal Assembly of McNamee. She loved big family dinners, baking, travelling to visit family out west, and collecting old country rose china and porcelain dolls. She also enjoyed quilting with her daughter-in-law Dorcas Price, making trips to Nova Scotia or to visit daughter Sarah with son Donnie and special trips to cottage in Prince George BC with son Garry.
Visitation will be at the Pentecostal Assembly of McNamee on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be at the McNamee Pentecostal Assembly on Friday, March 1st at 1:00 pm with Pastor Allison Cromwell officiating, assisted by Rev. Verner Drost and Rev. Wayne Flowers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pentecostal Assembly of McNamee or to the Alzheimer's Society.
