It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and friend, Joyce on February 24, 2013 at the age of 79.

Joyce is predeceased by her loving husband of 52 years, Larry and her eldest grandson Allen Jr.

Survived by her four children: Allen (Deborah), Debra (Tom), Dawn (Niall), and Kelly (Elayna); grandchildren: Adam, Aaron, Darcy, Jeff (Connie), Mackenzie, Kimberly, Kirk, Brennen and Rhianna; great grandchildren: Madison, Carter and Logan. Mom will also be missed by her fluffy, white, loyal companion Mickey, who brought mom great joy.

Joyce was born on May 29, 1933 in Capreol, Ontario to Roy and Loretta Broad. She was the oldest of 5 children: Lois (Pat), Betty-Anne (Jim), Bob (Louise), and Wendy (Les).

Joyce met her husband Larry in Nakina, Ontario. He was her first and only love and they were married on December 2, 1950. They had many happy years together. They are now eternally together.

The family would like to extend a grateful thank-you to Dr. M.S. Wilson, Dr. J. Just, and Overlander Residential Care for the compassion and care mom received.

Gone but Not Forgotten

We sat beside your bedside,

A Celebration of Joyce's life will be held on Wednesday, May 29th, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Schoening Funeral Service, 513 Seymour Street, Kamloops, BC, V2C 2G8.
