Kenneth McCorkle
McCORKLE, KENNETH - Kenneth Auston McCorkle died February 26, 2013. He was born on August 18, 1930 in Hibernia to Frank and Della (VanWart) McCorkle. He is survived by Carole, his wife of 51 years, his daughter Jeanette and her husband Ken Stephens; sisters Lois (Newman) Greer, and Carol Lawson; nephews Carl (Brenda) Lawson, Glendon (Susan) Lawson, David (Sheila) Greer and Larry (Gail) Greer; nieces Brenda and Marlene Lawson. Predeceased by his parents and brother-in-law Frank Lawson. Ken was a member of the United Empire Loyal Orange Lodge 112, Base Gagetown Community History Association, and the Queenstown United Baptist Church. He had great interest in the Orange Hall and the Queenstown community. He worked as a farmer, woodsman and for 17 years for the Department of Highways. He loved Bingo and was known as a generous man.
A memorial service will be held at the Orange Hall in Queenstown on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at 2:00 with Bob Johnson officiating. Light refreshments will be served and many stories will be told. www.oromoctofh.com
