Evelyn (Morrison) McIntyre
Date de décès : 1er mars 2013
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our loving wife and mother Evelyn Margaret McIntyre on Friday, March 1, 2013, at the Glace Bay Hospital.
Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Clements) Morrison.
She was the most beautiful lady that was dedicated to her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved her home and pets. All of these things meant the world to her. She loved playing cards with her sister and their friends for 30 years. She volunteered as a play lady for the Citizen Service League where she helped with sick children. She spent 25 years working for Phalen’s Bakery. Mom was the rock for everyone around her.
She will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 53 years Michael; daughters, Anne (Andreas) Dannrath, Cheryl (Greg) Gouthro, Mary (Jen) Burnham, Glenda McIntyre; one son, Michael Jr. (Sarah); nine cherished grandchildren, Colin, Robert, Shea, Breton, Margaret, Christopher, Mikie, Hannah, Jayme; three great-grandchildren, Syah, Ari and Daylan; sister Anne (Ron) Martin; many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her stepfather, Eli Wadman, two brothers, Jerry (Viola), Delbert (Estelle) Morrison.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 5, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Curry’s Funeral Home 775 Main St., Glace Bay. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 6, at 10 a.m. in St. Anne’s Church. The Rev. Leo Boone will be officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
