Audrey Madeline Allen, 89, of Amherst, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2013 in Gable's Lodge, Amherst.
Born in Amherst, she was a daughter of the late Alton and Hilda (Erickson) Harrison.
She was a member of Christ Church Anglican and Pythian Sisters Elizabeth Temple # 6. She enjoyed cooking and family gatherings.
She is survived by her sons, Larry (Lori) of Amherst, Rodger (Debbie) of Amherst, Colin (Judy) of Salisbury, NB; daughter, Barbara (Jim) Bentham, Ottawa; sister Lois (Bob) Hawkes, of Amherst, NS; grandchildren, Sandy, Steven, Crystal, Melissa, Laura and Carly; several great grandchildren.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Garnet; daughter Shelia in infancy; grandson Vince; two brothers, Drew and Richard and three sisters, Ruby, Alta, and Dolores.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Furlong Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church Street, Amherst, NS, (902 667 8777) where visiting will take place from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm on Tuesday. Funeral service will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 from the Funeral Home. Burial will take place at a later date in Christ Church Cemetery, Amherst.
