It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mathias (Mattie) Bourgeois announce his passing at his residence in Kippens on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at the age of 87 years. He was predeceased by his first wife, Theresa (MacDonald). He is survived by his second wife, Helen (Besaw) and one son, Wendell (Marion) of Stephenville, two daughters: Milissa (Louie) of Brantford, Ontario, Faith (Robbie) of Thunder Bay, Ontario, one brother, Stanley Bourgeois of Kippens, one sister-in-law, Deloris (Lol) Bourgeois of Kippens, five grandchildren: Yolanda, Sarah, Amanda, Jordan, Daniel and one great-grandchild, Olivia, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Fred and Cecilia Bourgeois, two brothers, Joseph Bourgeois, Adolph (Alice) Bourgeois, sister Mary (Nolan) Russell and sister-in-law, Joyce. Friends may call at Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, February 3rd at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Parish, West Street, Stephenville with Interment in the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Hansen Highway, Stephenville.
