ROBICHAUD, ELIZABETH "ELIZA" - 1920 - 2013 - Eliza Robichaud, 92, of Moncton, wife of the late Calixte Robichaud, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2013 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre. Born on March 13, 1920 in Ste-Rose, NB, she was the daughter of the late Vénuce and Philomène (Robichaud) Robichaud. Prior to her retirement, she was a school teacher in Shippagan and Moncton. She is survived by six daughters: Réjeanne Robichaud-Bell (Robert) of Halifax, Jacinthe Robichaud of Québec, Bibianne Robichaud-Nadeau (Francis) of Blainville, Brigitte Robichaud (Jim Lockyer), Céline Robichaud-Trifts (Robert) and Colombe Robichaud-Smith (Greg), all of Moncton; two sons: Jean-Marie Robichaud (Ginette Losier) of Gatineau, and Éloi Robichaud (Celia) of Orleans, her daughter-in-law Louise Landry-Robichaud, 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, several step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was the last survivor of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her husband, Calixte Robichaud (1999); one son, Théogène (1992) as well as her brothers: Aurèle, Lionel and Livain.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where the funeral will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. Visiting hours are Tuesday, March 12th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A reception will follow at the center. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe. In memory of Eliza, a donation may be made to the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital Foundation, the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
