The death occurred peacefully at the Community Care Centre in Kensington, on January 31, 2010 of Georgie Blanchard (nee Perry) of Kensington and formerly of Kinkora in her 93rd year. Wife of the late Henry Blanchard of Kinkora and daughter of the late Albert and Alvina Perry of Freetown. Survived by daughters Alberta Gallant, Rustico; Anita (Rick), Vancouver; Rita (Eugene), Toronto; Shirley (Dave), Ontario; Marlene, Kensington; Emily, Kensington; Sandra (Aldon), Summerside; Eileen (Gary), Amherst; Linda (Eddie), Charlottetown, and sons Kenny (Marie), Amherst; Ivan (Debbie), Ontario and Wayne (Marina), Charlottetown. Predeceased by daughter Eleanor Steele of Kensington. Survived by sisters Eleanor Burgess, Ontario; Roma (Ted) Tidmarsh, Ontario and Thelma Harnett, Ontario. Survived by brothers-in-law Ted, Ontario and Louis, Charlottetown. Predeceased by three brothers, Edward, Urban and Raymond and by sisters, Bunny, Nellie and Florence. Also survived by 52 grandchildren and several great, great grandchildren. Visiting hours on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at the Lawless Funeral home, 21 Somerset Street, Kinkora, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral will take place on Thursday, February 4 at 10 a.m. at St. Malachy’s Church, Kinkora.
