DOUCETTE, LAURA - Laura Doucette, 91, of Moncton, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at K.E. Spencer Memorial Home. Born on July 27, 1921 in Grande-Digue, she was the daughter of the late Adolphe and Marie (Brun) Roy. She is survived by four daughters: Rose-Marie Doucet-LeBlanc (Henri) of Shediac, Irène Laura Doucet-Locke (John), Dorice Doucet and Diane Doucet-Bastarache (Edmond), all of Moncton; two sons: Anselme of Saskatchewan and Ronald of Moncton; ten grandchildren: Susan, Jon-Darin, Sammy, Karen, Lisa, Robert, Michael, Randy, Rose-Marie and Edmond Jr.; six great-grandchildren: Jessy, Katheryn, Madison, Nikky, Joshua and Brendan; several nieces and nephews. She was the last survivor of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her husband, Amédée (1993); one daughter, Jeanne Doucet-Finck (Gordon); two grandchildren: Jacqueline-Rose and Robert “Robby”; her sisters and brothers: Régina, Eugénie, Géraldine, Edmond and Henri.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where the funeral service will be celebrated on Friday March 15, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. Visitations are Friday from 9:30 a.m. until time of funeral.
