MILBURY, Robert Eugene “Ritchie” 65 of Digby passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 in Digby. Born in Digby, he was the beloved son of Richard and Marion (Drew) Milbury. Ritchie was employed as a Heavy Equipment Operator with the Town of Digby for over 20 years. He was also a former lobster fisherman. He was a member and a past trustee of the Little River United Baptist Church. Ritchie was the most caring, loving, and friendly individual around with a smile for everyone, according to Carolyn. He also loved traveling, camping, stock car racing and the outdoors. He will be sadly missed by his parents, his wife of 42 years, the former Carolyn Raymond; daughter, Tammy Raye (Gregory) VanTassel, Mount Pleasant; son, Raymond L.E. (Jenna) Milbury, Little River; sister, Linda Gidney (Dale), Brighton, Digby County; sister-in-law Diane Milbury, Bear River; grandchildren, Andrew VanTassel, Aaron VanTassel and Parker Milbury, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Wayne Milbury, Bear River. Visitation was held on Sunday, March 31st from 7-9PM at the Little River United Baptist Church. The funeral service was held Monday, April 1st 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Little River United Baptist Church with Rev. Donald Robertson officiating. Interment in Hillcrest Cemetery, Little River.
