Minnie Coleman

Surrounded by her family, Minnie Coleman, 87 years, of Springhill, passed peacefully away on Sunday, March 31, 2013 in The Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Nappan. Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of the late John and Amy (Buck) Laurie.
Minnie was a member of the Springhill Baptist Church, Willing Workers and the Springhill Senior Citizens Club.
She enjoyed the beach and spending time at her cottage. She had a keen sense of humor and loved a good joke. Minnie took great pride in her home and loved to cook. She took great joy in doing crafts, listening to music and dancing.
She enjoyed the company of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her ever-active presence in the lives of her family and friends will be greatly missed.
She will be sadly missed by a daughter, Arlene (Rev. Steve) Sharpe, Smiths Falls, Ontario; two sons, Donnie (Shirley Joudrey) Myatt, Dartmouth and Wayne (Ellen) Myatt, Amherst; a brother, Doug Laurie and a sister, Elsie Millard, both of Springhill; six grandchildren, Valerie, Jason, Natalie, Sonya, and Melissa; six great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Minnie was predeceased by her husbands, Ken Bigelow and David Coleman; her very special friend Marvin Megeney; a grandson, Jeff; brothers, Harold, Bill and John; and sisters, Theresa in infancy, Clare Bigelow, and Amy Dowe.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of A. H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, (597-2361) from where visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 from 1:30 pm until the time of the funeral at 3 pm. Pastor Paul Berry officiating. Interment will be held in the spring in the Hillside Cemetery.
Donations in Minnie's memory may be made to the Springhill Baptist Church.
