It is with sadness that we, the family of Robert Gregory Dunn of Victoria Road, Sydney, announce his passing on Monday, April 1, 2013, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late Thomas and Mary (Whelan) Dunn.
Robert was a member of St. Theresa’s parish, Sydney.
He was employed with Cape Breton Beverages, until retirement.
Surviving are his wife, Delores ‘Loie’ (Mahoney); daughters, Raylene (Eddy) Dunn and Leanne (Dave), both of Sydney; sons, Bobby (Colleen), Sydney River, and Gary (Maureen), Sydney; sisters, Myrna (Simon) Gillis, Whitney Pier, and Daisy Dunn, Brantford, Ont.; brothers, John and Frank (Sandra), Whitney Pier; grandchildren, Brent, Gregory, Angelica, Michael, Aaron, Britney and David, all of Sydney; brothers and sisters-in-law, Nelson and Nellie Muise, Sydney, and Mike and Sally Mahoney, Sydney River.
Robert was predeceased by his son, Jimmy, sisters, Anne and Mamie and brothers, Rory, Jim and Phil.
Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A memorial mass will be held at St. Theresa’s Church on Thursday, 2 p.m. with Rev. James Oliver officiating. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to palliative care.
