At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Wednesday, April 3, 2013, of Mr. Albert Bernard of Scotchfort, age 81 years.
Beloved husband of the late Mary Margaret (Scully) Bernard and dear father of Joseph Daniel (Brenda Augustine) of Elsipogtog, N.B., Brenda Bernard, Morell, Albert James (AJ), Scotchfort, Patricia Bernard, Charlottetown, Peter (Noelle) Bernard, Scotchfort, Gloria Bernard (Brian), Rita Bernard (John), Scotchfort, Walter Bernard (Angie), Elsipogtog, N.B., and Emily Bernard (Daryl), Morell. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, three godchildren, sisters Theresa Curtis, Phoenix, Arizona, and Mary Margaret (Patricia) Bernard of Colchester.
He was predeceased by his parents Daniel and Mary Jane (Sock) Bernard, an infant son, grandson Gregory J. Bernard, brothers Alex, Moses, Frank, Raymond, sisters Agnes Gallant, Mary Bernard, Nora Bernard and Marie Bernard.
Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until Saturday afternoon, then transferred to St. Bonaventure’s Church, Tracadie, for funeral mass at 2 p.m. Interment later in St. Bonaventure’s Parish Cemetery. Visiting hours on Thursday 7 to 9 p.m. and on Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
