Born in Freeland Nov. 6, 1913, daughter of the late Robert Cummings and Annie (Cody) Henderson. Dear mother to Lucy Anne (Carmen) Dennis, Swabey (Elizabeth), all of Summerside. Loving grandmother to David (Kim) Dennis, Moncton, N.B.; Anne (Rod) Oram, Summerside; Andrew (Pam) Dennis, Summerside; Shelley (Stacy) Chaisson, Summerside; Peter (Allison) Jelley, Toronto, Ont.; Mark (Kimberley) Jelley, Moncton; Matthew Jelley (Tracey Bell), Charlottetown; and John Jelley, Moncton. Great-grandmother to Katarina, Isaac, Emily, Bradley, Abigail, Carter, Hudson, Preston, Macy, Noah, Gabriel, Benjamin, Zachary, Jonah, Carys, Liam and Kale. Kay is also survived her sister Jeanette Birch, Summerside, sister-in-law Mary Henderson, Portage La Prairie, Man., and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, husband Earle (1997), brothers and sisters Jim Henderson, Alice Banks, Jenny Chadwick, Kenneth Henderson, Margaret Johnson, Maude Palmer, Rev. Lloyd Henderson and Gladys Larkin. Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary, with visiting hours Monday, April 8, from 5-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 12:30 p.m. up until the time of the funeral service in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel at 1:30 p.m. Interment in Springfield West Baptist Church Cemetery.
